Lens question for a Sony A6000

Has anyone used the Tamron AFB016S700 16-300 F/3.5 6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro 16-300mm Interchangeable Lens, and can I use it on a Sony A6000?
I assume imwill need an adaptor.......if so, which ones will work best for this combo?

I googled it and found the answer in about 2 seconds. It is an "A" mount for Sony. This means you will need the Sony adapter which is not exactly cheap, but it will be fully functional.

That paricular lens is not offered in Sony e-mount. It is offered in EOS for which you can get an adapter ( about $150) AF is slower but useable with the adapter.

I get that........I guess my question was vague. I want to know what/which adaptor as I have never heard of them and it ain't for me.

My question was not direct enough: I assumed the need for an adaptor (yep! I, too, googled), but was really wondering what/which adapter and, more subtlety, do lens work very well with adapters or is it considered best to get lens of the same mount.

Yes, for most users I think using a native E mount lens is best. Tamron lenses have always been good - but the ones from the last 5 years or so have been exceptionally good - as a rule.

If you have a ton of A mount lenses then get the A6000 with the adaptor. You can then use all your lenses and almost any other brand of lens as well. I imagine the tamron with the sony A mount lens will function pretty much like your other A mount lenses. Sony makes two adaptors so check at the camera shop or online to see which one will work the best for your needs.

You will need an adapter to convert your Tamron lens to the A6000 mount.
