Wow, these are really good. You certainly have great skill with a camera - I find birds quite difficult to capture.

Thank you everyone for the comments. Yes I'd agree Carter...for this new price...quality...usability...I doubt you'll find anything better. Hand held mounted on a D7100. One thing iv'e learned about this lens...the brighter the light...the faster it gets. If you need to be in the F4 or 5 area...then you'll need to mount this on a tripod and start cranking up the iso.

its working well for you Bret, we got a tamron 150-600 but the wife wont use it she pref her 150-500 sigma said for her its better balanced , ours has been repaired the wife wore it out lol but we are pretty hard on gear here
dust , heat , dust , oh and more dust and very bumpy dirt tracks lol
