Travelling Back In Time Photography Technology

Now this really is an incredible use of technology---like travelling back in time!

Left click and hold on each photo, and then drag your mouse gently from left to right on the original photograph and it will be become a photo of the exact same location and view today. Drag it back to the left and you are back in 1944!

I was in Germany during '86 REFORGER and there were small signs/billboards posted in many cities in different areas with pictures posted of bombings, etc. I took photos of these signs and then took photos of what it looked like 40+ years later. I tried to get the same field of view as the original photographer. I do remember standing in those areas and feeling in awe of what had happened then. Most of the pictures I had taken were in Nuremberg. I do remember noticing many buildings had large areas of repair with newer colored bricks and some buildings still had chinks and chunks missing from bullets, etc. The area called "The Wall" was the least repaired area. Thanks for posting this.
