Great idea, but at that price...
When I rode a motorcycle in the winter, I had an assortment of electric clothing. It was amazing how well it worked. Of course, that plugged into the bike - no batteries.
I live in Alaska (admittedly southeast, where it is warmer) and have been very happy with the Hatch Specialist NS430. They are insulated, but give me the dexterity I need to make adjustments on the camera. Often used by the other "shooters" (policemen and members of the gun-club), which is where I came by the recommendation originally.
I use shooting gloves. I have a lightweight and a heaver pair for colder days. They both let you feel the controls.
I bought a pair of mittens with finger flaps.
I used my Gloves that I got from Remington I know that here in Washington States they are great, and I have right hand and right index finger damage from Vietnam and this Gloves help me from the cold, so I know for sure they would be great for MI, cause my Wife is from Bay City,
These work well for most but are not wind proof -- but price is right and one can use a scissors to cut opening at finger tips of choice I also use them with exposed index finger to better hold small nails and screws during carrpentry projects.
