But low light condition's are a problem> Should I go with an external flash or up grade MOST of what I do r active shots of animals. I don't have 10000 to spend on a camera but id only need the body as I already have 2 lenes. thanks

I have a D90. Fine camera. But stepping up to the D7100, I think you will find many improvements, both real and imaginary.

The D90 is a good camera, but, not a low light champ. I'd go for the D7100; it's an excellent body and has terrific dynamic range. Coupled with a fast lens and high ISO it can take pictures of a black cat in a coal mine (on a tripod with a remote!). :D :D

Agreed. ;)

The D7100 is, currently, the top-of-the-line upgrade for the D90. It has 'low-light' capabilities way beyond the D90. You mentioned animal photography. Many of us have experience with that! In my opinion, kittens and young animals are very difficult because they typically wont pose, leading to the high ISO requirement and high ‘mobility.’ A Speedlight would probable help a lot but get one with a fast cycle time; (The best/fastest for the money is the SB700 – about $300).

We've gotten quite a few questions lately about upgrading a D90. Go for it! The D7100 would be a good choice. I sold my D90 and got a D7000 and later, a D7100.

I have never dealt with that company, but you need to be wary of anyone who may sell "Grey Market" items. These are cameras that were meant to be sold outside the USA and thereby not covered by Nikon USA warranty and not able to have their firmware upgraded or be repaired for any price. I highly reccomend B&H, Adorama and Cameta Camera. They are all reputable retailers and their prices are as low as any I have found.

What are your two current lenses and what do you like to shoot?

After I responded to your question, I did some research online. There are quit a few bad reviews and several scam alerts about this company. Because of this, I will stand by my previous response. Stay with an established company and you will not go wrong. I have personnaly dealt with all three of those I mentioned and have allways been treated fairly. Good luck and happy shooting.

The D90 has been a very good camera but it is obvious that it is not fulfilling your low light demands. You certainly have a good reason to update.
I second the idea of a D7100. You are getting "new" technology and most probably the AF is better and I say that because I have no experience with the D90 but know of its capabilities.

I agree with jsmangis. Obviously not an authorized Nikon dealer, gray market, and no info as to what is included with the body.
No way I would consider purchasing anything from this place. Consider yourself warned.
Stick with trusted sites like, B&H, Adorama, or Cameta.

I notice no one mentioned refurb cameras to you. I upgraded from a D80 to D7100 and there's a world of difference. I got mine at Cameta looked brand new had a shutter count of 125 and they gave me year warranty free. Just saying check out the refurbs.

I moved from a D90 to the D7000 a a quite pleased with the upgrade. The D7100 gets rave reviews but the 7000 can be had refurbished for quite a bit less.

B&H has factory refurbished D7100 bodies for $819.95. Refurbished and used can be a good way to save money, but only get from a reputable dealer like B&H, Adorama, Cameta, and keh.com.

The D7100 is better at the high iso's needed to shoot in low light, but depending on the lenses that you have now, you may still have a problem in low light. Depending on how low the light is you may also need a faster lens.

If the lenses you have now work fully with the D90, they will work with the D7100. What lenses do you have now, and what do you shoot in low light?
