Starbuck's Pike Place decaf in a French press with a little milk, no sweetener. No milk? Black.

Haven't had a cup of coffee in well over 40 years now. What made me give it up was my father-in-law. His was sooooo strong, it would eat the enamel off your teeth. I chose to keep mine and still have them all. But nooooo "mud juice" for me.

I'm not a coffee drinker. There, I said it but, that was true last week, now I am. I have found two coffees that I love. Green Mountain Caramel Vanilla Cream and Van Houtte Butterscotch Caramel. (Yes, I know, with cream and Stevia, they amount to little warm milkshakes!)

What is your favorite coffee? Flavored or unflavored? What brand?

Thanks for sharing.

The kind that comes in a can, brewed in a Mr. Coffee and "Gulped" from a 9oz mug Black and Very Hot....

Currently "Folgers Country Roast" next week...WHO KNOWS....

a little aside... My daughter lives for her Starbucks something or other that has only a very passing relationship to coffee... SO one day I was with her, and to be convivial i ordered a $3.50 SMALL BLACK COFFEE... took one drink, walked up to the thingy where you could pour liquids and dumped it there......... HORRIBLE STUFF...

this might give you the correct idea that I am not a gourmet when it comes to coffee....

Mike

Donna,

You know mine, any super high caffeine coffee with copious amounts of either Bailey's Irish creme or DeSorono Amaretto.

At home we use Cafe de Monde from NO, LA. Sorry, Beignets not included.
Outside, I love Dunkin Donuts and McD's coffees. But I'm good with any French Roast, as long as it's not diluted to the strength of a mud puddle.

I grew up drinking CDM Coffee and Chicory. Started out, before I started school, with mostly milk and was allowed more coffee the older I got. Somewhere along the way I lost the chicory and now drink dark roast.

If you ever drop in when you're in the area, bring your own (Keurig) coffee and booze, WW. :D I only have my "warm milkshakes" with no punch!

Must have been that "Pike's Place" stuff. I don't understand how that coffee started the whole chain. They have some good blends like Kamodo, Kona, Indonesian, Etheopian, Sumatra, Christmas Blend and another from Central America that aren't too bad. But, that "Pike's PUKE" is crap in my opinion.

Did everybody in the world answer this?

I like straight coffee strong and hot. Second best Mickey D's.

I became involved heavily, in the coffee culture over 40 years ago when I discovered a coffee shop on the top floor of a vertical shopping center here in Chicago. I started buying whole beans and grinding them etc. I fell in love with Sumatra and Celebes Colassi. As time went on I bought a superautomatica machine - I put the beans in, select what kind of drink I want and then the machine grinds the beans, tamps them, brews them and places the used beans in a container for disposal.

Now a days, I try to buy most of my beans from Whole Foods, which is very popular in the Chicago area. They offer freshly roasted beans every day, usually about 10 or 12 selections, 1/2 regular and 1/2 decaf. My favorites are Costa Rican and mocha java. You fill a bag with however much you want, either keep the beans or grind it in their professional grinding machine and when you check out, the bag is weighed. I usually spend between $10 and $14 for my selections.

I also like to buy fresh beans from local coffee shops like Newport Coffee, Java Brewing etc. Lots of fun trying out different coffees.

As for my superautomatica, I take it apart about every 2 weeks and thoroughly clean all of the parts. And sometimes, I set the machine for espresso and voila, espresso. It has a steamer nozzle so if I want a latte etc. I can make it thus I do not go out for coffee too often. And at restaurants, I usually cannot stand the coffees being served. Kuerig machines may make nice coffees, but the cost of the pods is crazy. Enjoy.

When I'm in Dallas, I get Texas Pecan at Costco... can't get it in Phoenix (rats!). Other than that, dark roast. I get coffee beans & grind it myself; get them at Costco, Trader Joe's, Cost Plus World Market. Sorry... K-cups are not coffee...
