I couldn't figure out what all the commotion was over this teal. When I was growing up in ND shot hundreds of these things, along with mallards, cans, and blue wings. Just like mooseeues says they come in low and fast just skimming over the water at about a hundred miles an hour (actually about thirty but it seems as if they are really moving). They flop their wings back and forth so that one wing is straight up and the other is straight down and than change around so that the one that was straight up is now straight down and the one that was straight down is now straight up; try and shoot something like that. You need about six to feed four people and they are so tasty. No, they do not taste like chicken.

Awesome photo of your Heron.
There I go again, off on a tangent about teal hunting and forget the most important reason I said anything at all and that is how great your shots are, good crisp details.
