Welcome to Day 65 :). Today let's do something simple. Flowers. They always brighten my day .. and with winter hanging on so long .. maybe it will brighten yours too.
Well I say simple but flowers seem to be my nemesis. I can never get them close enough or sharp enough. I don't own a Macro lens. So extreme closeups are pretty much
out of the question for me. Plus I keep trying to shoot them handheld instead of with a tripod. It's not like I don't know better ... maybe I'm just lazy LOL.
So paint them, photograph them, photoshop them, grab them from your archives. Flowers, flowers and more flowers.
Here are a few examples to get us started.

Beautiful shots. You must of read my mind. Did someone tell you I'm on my way to the Philadelphia Flower Show today. When I got up this morning I said to myself I hope she picks flowers today and like magic my wish came true. LOL. Have a great day everyone see you later with some pictures from the show. The theme this year is Hawaii.

This will fill up fast!! And you started off with pansies...I love them & their cute little painted faces. Beautiful...all of them. Hey, I wish everyone would name the flowers they post...I don't know a lot about names of flowers.
Think I'll go ahead and post a few from my archives...right after I find a rooster...to say GOOD MORNING EVERYONE

Wonderful photos! #2 is my favorite! I was in Tampa this weekend and we woke up yesterday (Sunday) to 34 degrees and 30 to 50 mph wind gusts. So no Busch gardens for me, although my son and oldest daughter and their families decided to be brave and go. My Husband and I rode over to see Clearwater Beach and to hopefully take some pictures, got out in the wind and had to run back to the car. I ended up with a mouthful of sand, but I saved my camera! What should have been a wonderful weekend for photo opportunities ended up being a total bust! (pg. 1)

Rivernan - you probably are correct - I will do some research today and verify... just put down what my sister-in-law called it and it was pretty much growing wild on the far end of her property, perhaps she didn't plant it - it was a volunteer from the neighborhood..

Roadrunner, Exactly!!! We have the same kind of snow flowers ( or is that flurries?) here.
The only kind of vegetation growth I have seen lately were these white fluffy catkins ( pussy willows)

pg. 1

djkermode - Beautiful flowers, especially #2!

roadrunner - My thoughts exactly, although we don't have snow, things are not blooming much around me. However, our pear trees are blossoming - so excited!

Judy - Very interesting and detailed shots! So that's what milkweed looks like!

Rivernan - I love all your archives from all the great places you have been!

Teri O - Your flower photos are amazing and I love the bee & blossom.

Chris - Great photos! Are we going to get to see some aerial flowers today? lol!

fstop22 - Wonderful photos - #'s 3 & 4 are my favorites

pg. 2

Fred Ann - Great photo - I enjoy all your submissions!

Anyone want to guess how many pages this thread will have before the day is over? Hmm, I say - 62!
