The original played by Freddie King, then later versions by Eric Clapton then Stevie Ray Vaughan. Personally, I liked the Clapton version the best.

I was pretty disappointed with that Mayall/Clapton version, compared with the original on the John Mayall Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton album from 1966. That is one of my all-time favorite Clapton albums. I bought it when it came out, and am still listening to it today. It explains the "Eric Clapton is God" graffiti that started showing up in London at the time.

If you are any kind of Clapton fan, you need that album. It is still available on CD and itunes, and in fact when I went to see if it was on itunes, I found out an new version was released with a bunch of unreleased tracks, including some live tracks from a little club, so now it's going to cost me some more money.

  I have got to the stage that I have so many CDs in my collection that I won't live long enough to go all through them again, particularly since I converted all my vinyl to CD. Nowadays you can search YouTube and find all kinds of music.

I've gone to ipod myself. Being able to carry my entire music collection around with me and listen to it wherever I am is great. I put most of my CDs on it, and just buy new music electronically and load it on there. Even listening at home I hook it up to my stereo and I can access any song much faster than looking for the CD.

One of my old bands used to do that tune at our gigs. It was always the high point of the night, for me.

Nice. I'm a blues fan more than a photographer, almost! The definitive versions are the old studio versions. Thanks.
