The mid-term election during the last term of a second term president traditionally goes against the presidents party. Nothing will change. The republicans will attempt to repeal the presidents workings. They will obstruct in an attempt to regain the presidency. Altimatly the pendulum will swing back and start all over again.

I've also noted things here have been eerily polite lately. Not just with regard to politics, but also with religion and other contentious subjects. Maybe people are tired and taking a break. In any case, as long as it lasts, it's a nice break from some of the nasty and unpleasant arguments that often riddled this forum.

Yes I agree 100%. It seems that the People have a memory that more or less starts to fade after a few years. After a party becomes too powerful to some peoples liking, they quickly vote the other party back in. And that would be the party that they voted out before. Over and over again. Another troubling aspect is that the media is under no obligation to present an unbiased truth. I guess sensationalism is what lures in viewers to Editorial/Opinion shows that are presented as news.

"In any way 'controversial' ONLY in the opinion of that one person who deems that tone to be objectionable. Didn't Goebbels fill that office(censor) in Nazi Germany.?
Any parallels?

"True enough." I LOVE it! It ain't plumb true, just close enough to true to con the stupidos. That part that ain't plumb true, they'll find out about that as time goes on.
Hope and Change.

A lot of us commented last Tuesday at the Polls.

Were you, in some way, required to read those nasty and unpleasant arguments?

I feel that more people are beginning to pay attention,as shown in this election, but I would suggest that this is just the beginning.

That's kind of like saying it's okay if someone's dog craps on the sidewalk,it's not required that I walk in it. Couldn't help but see it. Another reason for me to appreciate the Attic.

Does that means we are not a communist country?

Is the DNC singing the blues?

All the money down the drain. The Dems were flush with $$$$.

Someone finally woke up?

Now that the republicans have the House and Senate I predict government will grow, individual liberty will shrink as will middle class wealth. If the Democrats take them back I predict government will grow, individual liberty will shrink as will middle class wealth.

Anybody want to bet otherwise?

I agree with your analogy but would add just one thing. They all seem fat enough and ready to be sent to market.

I hope the Repubs will act in a statesmen manner for the best interest of the country. I would further hope the Dems will follow suit. Probably hoping for too much.
