Thanks, this is the first time in 8 years that we all got together. I don't think they will make their 69th.

My two sisters are my close connection. We make sure we get together each year for a 3 day trip...usually checking out the waterfalls in S/W Ontario.

My challenge, starting on tomorrow, is called Connections. Our lives are full of connections of one sort or another. Our family connections are closest. But what about others such as those we have to our jobs or our hobbies? We make connections through travel and through the clubs we belong to. Many of us have made connections through Ugly Hedgehog. Think about your own connections, from the obvious to the obscure, and share the photographs that speak to all of them.
Every photo tells a story so tell us how the image connects to a story. I look forward to seeing your work.
I'll start by posting three images with their connections.

Mother and Son - Connected!

My Grandson and I connect through photography.
His Snap of me.
Connections: the field next door.
I've lived here 6 years. There is a large field around the Farm storage and office buildings, a cemetery and my 1.5 acres. The Farm has grown: grain, potatoes, soy beans, canola, corn and more. Sometimes I'm home when the Farm staff are working in the field. Sometimes not. This year the crop is corn. I'm really hoping to be home to get a really good set of harvest photos. Meanwhile, here's the collection of shots from home to date.
Taking shots at home really helped me learn how to look for good photo ops while 'on the road'.

Solitude, positive solitude, can expose connections to things in your own world which however small can make your day. By being alone and letting my méditations and free thinking roam I can connect profoundly with what stitches me to life and can make blue skies out of cloudy overcasts....
Just being out there, peacefully enjoying my connections with Nature
With positive solitude, waiting can be worth the while
A connection with peace and quiet

It has been such a special experience for us. It's so nice to be able to make so many people truly happy over the years! I know it sounds sappy but ..true! :-D
