My challenge, starting on tomorrow, is called Connections. Our lives are full of connections of one sort or another. Our family connections are closest. But what about others such as those we have to our jobs or our hobbies? We make connections through travel and through the clubs we belong to. Many of us have made connections through Ugly Hedgehog. Think about your own connections, from the obvious to the obscure, and share the photographs that speak to all of them.
Every photo tells a story so tell us how the image connects to a story. I look forward to seeing your work.
I'll start by posting three images with their connections.
Bronze Animal Head Connection: Last year Torontos Nathan Phillips Square hosted Chinese political activist Ai Weiweis 50,000 pound sculpture installation around the reflecting pool. There were 12 sculptures and it was called Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads. This is just one of them.
Beach Quilts Connection: They could be wrapped up and trying to stay warm. But in reality these youngsters were helping shoot publicity photos for my guilds annual quilt show. Turned out to be a very successful campaign.
Horse & Rider Connection: The connection between horse and rider in the sport of Dressage is very important. This is my sister putting Reno through his exercises.

Thanks for that. I hope everyone will take a minute to explain their own connections. It will help the viewers understand what was behind the shot.

My two sisters are my close connection. We make sure we get together each year for a 3 day trip...usually checking out the waterfalls in S/W Ontario.
And of course I have this connection ;-)
One more...then off to bed!
This is the photography group back in Ontario. Shortly after I got down to Texas for the winter in 2011, I tripped over my cat (on the cement drive) and fell and fractured both elbows, sprained my wrists and hurt my neck. So at their Xmas party, my sister got the group to all put their napkins on their arms to look like a cast and sent me this picture. Talk about connections! ;-)
Night everyone!
That's the best connection - I have 3 sisters and we take a group photo every time we get together. I'll look for one and post it later.

Was this a sympathetic gesture or were they mocking you?
