My thought is that you stayed long enough before migrating south to get some color. These are beautiful.

Bee-u-tiful Bob. Reminds me of the "High Banks" overlooking the Ausable River, West of Oscoda. Great color and I really like the framing in #1.

Breathtaking color, Bob. A good job waiting for the fall color peak before high-tailing it back down South for the winter, as you did it up proud!
The question, of course, is do eagles see in color? And if so, do they have a preference for, say, yellow-leafed trees over red ones? Or is orange their cup of tea? Or since they're usually high as a kite anyway, do the trees ALWAYS look like that to them?!
Questions of this nature keep me up nights.
