I love #1 for the subtle colors at the base of the mountain, #2 & 3 for the skies, colors and reflections. #4 for the dream-like colors, #5 for the colors that slightly soften the cold look of the glacier, and #6 because it is a stunning sunrise.

Thank you very much , I appreciate your in depth comment. These have slightly less grain as my last ones.

Since my wife isn't too keen on Alaska I will be content to see it through your eyes. It's one of the best things about hanging out here, I get to travel without leaving the chair. Thanks for sharing Mike.

Thank you very much Mike, my wife likes the cruises but not the land trips, so I made all my photo trips by myself, worked out great, nobody tells me once you have seen one mountain you have seen them all.

I heard something very similiar when we went to Yellowstone. Maybe we just see things differently.

I never thought there will be such great interest in that many Alaska images, I have posted over 200 by now none duplicates. I appreciate the great response I got, thank you very much. So I will post more as I dig them out.
All these were scanned from film so you will find some grain.

You have been given a gift Mike, thank you as always for sharing it. There is so much to learn from studying these images.
Good night here for PC work, our first glimpse of snow is supposed to happen tonight. Take care!

Geesh, Mike, talk about "purple mountain majesty"...someone should write a song. Oh, wait, its been done! These are so inspiring! And I admire your ability to take trips alone...I need people to bale me out of my mistakes. Getting lost happens to some of us.

Thank you so much Phil, isn't that a bid early for snow, it's almost like Alaska got snowed in once on the first day of fall. Kids a banging on the door for Halloween candies, my grandkids are now to old so they say to roam the neighborhood.
Have a great weekend despite the snow.

Thank you very much Carlysue. Once a friend convinced me to take him along to Alaska on a trip, it was a disaster, anytime I took a picture he would ask why would you take a picture of that? It was the only time that I was glad to be on a plane back going home again. To top it off he was a great studio photographer and got rich doing so but apparently landscapes was not his thing.

Thank you very much Erv I greatly appreciate your comments. Are you without Harrison at Halloween, I guess at your place it's getting late but here we have a constant stream still knocking on the door. It looks like there wouldn't be much leftover sweets for me.

They got here around 9pm Mike. I played with him and he just now went to bed.:) He already wore out Grandma. Guess that makes me second shift.:):) We didn't get one kid this year. They all go up town where the houses are closer.:(
