I use the WD My Cloud, but not wirelessly. It is connected by copper into my router. I have it mapped as drive P:. It's no problem for me to write files to it from LR, if I so desire. I don't do it that way as a normal course, but could if I wanted.
I have a MyCloud Mirror and, I could be wrong, but didn't think I could connect to my network wirelessly with the Drive. I connected mine to my router with wire also. My Computer connected to my network wirelessly. FWIW I use my MyCloud Mirror to store all my LR Photos. (I store the catalog on my local computer, but the actual pictures get stored on the MyCloud).
