I have just bought a Nissin di866 mkii speed light to attach to my canon 7d.

High speed sync works well with the speedlight attached to camera right up to 1/8000 second.

I want to use the flash off camera with a flash trigger capable of syncing at higher than the cameras Max of 1/250 but at a much lower cost than the pocket wizards.

I have looked at google but would like to hear of any personal experience.

Thanks in advance for any help

You can get a pair of Yongnuo yn-622c transceivers for about $80 which will give off-camera high speed sync capability. Add a 622c-tx for about another $50 for even easier control of off camera flash units.

Okay, then change the prices I gave to approximately £50 and £35 on Amazon UK. :)

Yongnuo system is available in UK. Mine arrived this morning.
£75.99 from e-bay, for 2 x 622n's and 1 x 622n-tx. Haven't had a play as yet. That's this afternoons job.

No, at the moment all I can confirm is that the system is working. The spec does allow for up to 1/8000 I believe.

Shot a few minutes ago at 1/8000 with one yn-622 on camera and one yn-622 attached to a HS sync capable flash off camera. Yes, it does works at 1/8000.
