It works fine for me on my MAC. I also updated my iPad to the latest version. Does anyone else have a problem logging on to UHH with their iPad? I was out of town since last Thursday and could not log on with my iPad but now that I am home I can get on with my MAC but still not my iPad.

My IPad works fine with the latest iOS. On uhh with it right now. Make sure you have the very latest iOS - the one just before it was a dud!

Apple has made their latest OS, Yosemite, available as a download. Has anyone tried it, and if so what is your impression?

Thanks for your input.

I downloaded Mavericks when it came out and it did a great job of trashing my iMac and slowing my Macbook Pro to a crawl. Rather than risk the fallout of another "upgrade" I'll wait and give Apple some time to work out the kinks that accompany a new release. That said, they never fully fixed Mavericks (boot time on my iMac is 20 minutes[!]), so I'm still a little gun shy. The last really stable release was Snow Leopard.

My iPad will not log in. Can you think of a setting that might cause that.

It is awesome!!! I had Mavericks on one of my lap tops and hated it because it slowed it down so badly but have replaced it with Yosemite and it performs incredibly well now. I now have it on my MacBook and my MacBook Pro.

Reminds me of the "Fisher Price" look that people were complaining about when Windows XP made its debut.

If you're using Time Machine you may find a problem. The Time Machine problems are various. Just DuckDuckGo/Bing/Google for solutions. The first post I tried fixed my problem.

This is an elegant system. Didn't have one glitch. Like the new look, and I am impressed with the features.

Elegant is the perfect description.

I just looked at a screenshot of the new dock and you're right. The icons look cartoonish. The rich 3D look is gone. Daffy Duck has run amuck.

I had the same experience with both My and My Bride's Macbookpro's and my 27" iMac with Mavericks.

Thus I too am gun shy on loading another OS until the Roaches are dead.

Maybe try it on one in a week or two...In fact last OS on my iPhone messed up iCloud...

I put it on my 7 Macs right away, all working fine. One developed a wifi issue, however the simple fix was to reset the SMC.

What is the "SMC"?
