Dying in Ecstasy? (Close Up Section)

Photographed at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Great River, NY. When I took this picture I thought the bee was alive, but after the creature did not move once the image was made, even with prodding from me, the realization that he/she was deceased dawned. Hopefully, being amongst all that pollen helped with the transition.

Critique, comments and suggestions welcomed.

You certainly stirred my curiosity with your title, Bmac. I didn't know what to expect, but it's perfect for this beautiful shot! ;-)

Thanks Earl. Not sure why those wings are blue, maybe due to the flash.....or perhaps she's an artistic bee and was "making a statement." 8-)

Thanks Erv and Chuck. Although the bee may have been "sleeping in a catatonic state" as another member told me regarding a type of bee which this one may very well bee....errr....be. :mrgreen:
