Apple has made their latest OS, Yosemite, available as a download. Has anyone tried it, and if so what is your impression?
Thanks for your input.

I put it on my 7 Macs right away, all working fine. One developed a wifi issue, however the simple fix was to reset the SMC.
Noticed the display seemed brighter and the new screen font is much nicer.
Seems a bit quicker. No problems with any software. The 1 or 2 apps that it noted were conflicts were upgraded easily and at no cost.
My big worries of course were Lightroom, Photoshop, and my Topaz Plugins... all work just as good as before the upgrade.
I have had it on my MacBook Pro for probably 2 weeks and never missed a beat. All programs worked from the start and no problems at all. I am not sure what the differences are as I have not taken the time to read any info on the updated system.
This is an elegant system. Didn't have one glitch. Like the new look, and I am impressed with the features.
Has anyone used NIK plugins in photoshop CC with Yosemite? NIK website doesn't show it is or is not compatible ???

Ditto. The only problem I had was the volume control (loudspeaker) at the top did not show and I was unable to adjust. Googled it and apparently a lot of ppl had same problem, easy fix.
Thanks for all of the responses. I am downloading it to my MacBook Pro, v.5.3, now. It was the oldest version that would run Mavrick. Also I am still a bit concerned from Apple's problems with their recent iOS release.

I had to contact NIK to get them to work. They no longer use product keys to verify ownership of the products. A download was sent by NIK, installed and works fine.

Upgraded a few days ago and have not had any issues so far! Wish I could say the same for Windows 7!
It works fine for me on my MAC. I also updated my iPad to the latest version. Does anyone else have a problem logging on to UHH with their iPad? I was out of town since last Thursday and could not log on with my iPad but now that I am home I can get on with my MAC but still not my iPad.
