The shot of them looking into each others eyes, that was not posed .......... couldn't of been more natural, just caught on the fly ;)
I know, and if that's cool..ok....but it certainly would work better the other way.

2 1/2 hours!!!! Were they in the express lane? :):) I haven't done one that went less then 6 hours for me. But they were still partying when I left.:):) But you did a nice job on these. Do you have a second shooter with you?
Erv
Thanks Erv ..........
FYI, I was there for 7 hours but the lat 4+ hours was just a big party, they got all the 'traditional' stuff out of the way in 1 1/2 hours ....... ugg
I was the only still shooter, my BH was shooting video .....

The client is always in charge in my book, they asked for me to focus on candid, un-posed stills ........... taken on the fly ;-)

That is still moving right a long. Now days I just do the back ground stuff as second shooter. Help with the poses and just have fun.:) Jeff does all the heavy stuff.:) I don't miss being the main guy now.But it was fun to do back in the day. Meet a lot of good folks and some of them still call me to do their kids weddings. That makes a guy feel good!

I get that...certainly I do.
I'll make this one last comment and then bow out.
Your clients don't know squat about what makes an effective photograph or how amazing a photo could look with a slight head turn or eye gaze shift, unless they could see them both side by side and then they'd realize the difference. Many times it's education in addition to photography.

Please do bow out, thank you, and no, I'm not taking it personally ......... just in this case your opinion does not matter in regards to the client's knowledge. That picture was taken during their actual wedding ceremony, sure, they are going to have a discussion in the middle of the ceremony about how to pose it just right ...... my gosh, love is in their expressions big time, that is all that matters in this picture.
One of the worlds very best wedding photographers once said, and I'll paraphrase ......... usually my best photos, you know the top 3 every year I think are my very best, well usually they are not well composed or have great exposure but caught the candid moment with perfect timing ....... hint: he teaches several of the courses on KelbyOne ;)
