Just picked up my 150-600 Nikon Mounted Tammy today from my local Camera shop. Weather is awful and is supose to be the same for the next few days.
I hope for good weather by the weekend so I can try it out at the Nature Center Photo shoot with the one of the local pro's ( Steve Gettle ). Hope to learn a lot and get some good shots. Proof will be in the so called pudding.

With that kind of reach you should be able to see past the bad weather to where it is nice and sunny. :)
Lots of people shot right through the windows at their bird feeders, classic cars, good looking gal or just anything that is out there. Shoot a few then you'll be ready when the weather clears. Then post a bunch. Congrats on the glass.
We await some pudding photos

What lens did you use for your avatar? It must have a really fast shutter!!! That owl looks completly frozen!!! Almost like it turned to stone!!!
I had it in hyper mode ... but he's also a very slow mover (still sitting in that exact same spot today actually ... :) )

Try to take photos of anything outdoors or indoors to get a feel for the lens. Congratulations on acquiring your new lens.
Congradulations and enjoy.
