Although I have been to Sedona countless times, I have always hiked and never took a Jeep Tour. Now that we are older, my wife will need a knee replacement in a year or two and is unable to hike. I'm looking for a recommendation for a tour that will supply my Photographer's Eye with wall-hangers.

Your experience is welcome.

This is the outfit a friend of mine used and recommended. We haven't gone yet, but it's on our list :-)

We did the Pink Jeep tour couple of years ago. It was fun but a PP said be sure to hang on. There were some photo ops. Our favorite trip there was the Verde Canyon Railroad trip. It was very good with lots of photo ops along the way. Be sure if you take it to pay the additional fee for the better seating options. Our car had hot and cold snacks and drinks with a great bartender. We also had nice window seating with table for drinks and snacks as well as an observation open air car to go outside and take photos or just sit in the fresh air as the train went thru the country side. You can go to their website and book online. Its just a short drive from Sedona to the station.

We went on Pink Jeep in June. Several stops for photos and a great ride! 2 hours.

Pink Jeep tours are excellent. They offer more than one tour. The most common lasts a couple of hours and travels up into the nearby mountains on a gravel route. Stops for pictures along the way. Depending on the season the ride can be a little cold so dress for a chilly ride in an open jeep.

Second that. They were THE jeep tour to take when I was in Sedona several years ago.

Took the Pink jeep tour and didn't find any pix from the tour in my files. But there are LOTS of photo ops in Sedona!

My brother in law took me in his jeep to some really great spots and it happened to be the same places the pink jeeps where are at, so I would look at the pink jeep tours. As a side note every time we had to pass the pink jeeps on the trails they would move off the trails and make room for other vehicles coming towards them.

We were there a couple of years ago and took a helicopter tour that was excellent. The chopper had no doors so I got to have unobstructed views of the scenery. The pilot was very knowledgable and knew how to fly for photos. I got some images of things that most people never see. it was an exhilarating experience.

It all depends on the driver. I had to insist that he stop so that I could get some shots. He acted as though my having my camera was just an attachment to carry.
