Shot while on vacation last summer.
Nice photograph and even better on the download. Tall trees can be tough to photograph. I like your shot.

Not an original shot, but it is one that i would take myself if ever I get to the redwoods.
You have done it very well, the composition is not perfectly central but I don't think it matters for this "spoked" shot.
It still shows the massive majesty of the trees perfectly.
Its just a shame about the blown white area on the central bottom tree.
Can that be selectively brought under control?
Also i notice some noise in the darks, has this had the noise treated yet at all?

Hi, Gamache,
This is one of the best of this genre I've seen. Exposure was spot-on, using full dynamic range with excellent deep shadow as well as highlight detail.
Congrats on a good job!

Uuglypher and Chris F. thank you for your comments. Lighthouse, this photo had minimal post processing. If I remember correctly I just hit the "Auto" in LR4, cropped to 13x19, printed and hung on the wall. I have recently subscribed to PS and LR5 and will try to address the problems you noted. It could take a bit of time, PS seems to have a "slight' learning curve.

I love this shot. I took a similar one here in the Tillamook forest, and it's now hanging on the wall in the main entrance of the Intel lobby here.
The perspective is awesome. Well done.
