This is my oldest grandson. He is about 4 & 1/2. I could not remove that sword from his back if I tried. I kid you not, he even sleeps with it down the back of his pajamas.

I hope I am close on this one.

Clone it out, I have 3 grandsons and 2 of the 3 (2-1/2 & 4 yrs old)are so into this Ninja turtle stuff, never without a sword, nun chucks...if it ain't Ninja, it doesn't exist in their world. LOL, good luck taking from him. :)

I think you nailed it! Everything looks perfect for a 4 1/2 year old, the hair the shirt collar, the sword. I wouldn't change a thing. Now that I know the back story on the sword, I can't imagine the shot without.

You could try moving the sword so that you can see what it is, or taking some with the sword drawn. With a little care you may well be able to crop it out of frame for a couple of shots, just to satisfy the non ninjas. Nice capture of a young lad, and his priorities.

A nice portrait of the lad that tells his story at this stage of his life - remove the sword and you remove the story! I expect Crocodile Dundee looked like this at 4-1/2.

I can't (won't) clone that out. It is a capture in time. In the far future, seeing that sword will bring back that block of time with him and his sword. I hope he doesn't get into nun chucks, Lol.

Thank you, but I am not changing a thing. Here is another reason why not:

There is that sword.

Aren't they great at that age? In a way I feel blessed because I raised them (he and his younger brother) from October of 2011, to august of this year. I quit my job to do this. Fortunately, there were more laughs than pains.

They are great.:)....we have so much fun ...my daughter wonders about me sometime....one day she could hear us in the dining room & came in there but couldn't see us...we were under the table with our binoculars watching birds in the backyard. Lol....she said mom you are goofy and I said yes I am..:)
You & they are fortunate that you could quit work to be with them.
I feel blessed to have g-children. Nothing like the.!
