I shot these at various times from the San Francisco Marina Green during fleet week. I'm posting these for dlmorris to see whose going to go to an air show and posted in the Main section of this site under "Air show question".

Outstanding aircraft shots, thanks for posting.
They will be here in 4 more days .... I never get tired of photographing them. If anyone has questions on where to shoot, feel free to ask.

Are they back on? The last couple Fleet Weeks in SF, they didn't perform (punishment, I think, for the sequester).
Great in-flight shots! :)
Would love to know some good shooting locations and if you know the practice schedule. Looking forward to hearing back.

Blue Angels arrive and practice on 10/9 from 12-5. Practice again on 10/10 from 3-4. There will be other aircraft participating and they will be practicing also. I like the Marina Green best for shooting as there is very good parking nearby. You can also shoot from Pier 39, however, parking is expensive in the garage. Other parking is hard to find by Pier 39. In any event, it's best to arrive no later than 9-10 AM as it will be very crowded and the public parking at the Marina will fill up fast. It's free for the practice days, however, there will be a $60.00 ticket charge on Saturday and Sunday. Check the internet for the full fleet week schedule including the Blue Angels schedule.
I wish I could come as I love the show. Enjoy yourself if you go and share any photos you get.
I'm told they will be here THursday and back on. Yes, that dreaded sequester! They should have sequestered Air Force One instead! They could have saved millions! LOL!
I find the area around Crissy Field and both the St. Francis and San Francisco Yacht clubs to be ground zero. I've shot in the past from many different angles but find those two the best. Very crowded though. I like being on the GG Bridge as well. Should be fun if the fog holds off.
