D7100/Sigma 17-50mm.

I was driving around the beach area at Yamba yesterday when I saw this monster. Unfortunately, the weather was dull & rainy, so there were no blue skies to enhance the shots. Downloading is recommended.

Wow! When you told me you'd seen a Hummer, I certainly didn't picture this! LOL Good'uns, Earl. We call them 'Hummahs' way down heah in Dixieland. :-D

I'm near Ft. Myers Florida and we have two of these in my area but they aren't the pickup style - one is very bright pink and the other is black like the one you saw. I'm sure this is absurdly expensive to build but also absurdly expensive to rent!

The original "Hummers" were designed for all terrain use. Somehow these look like they'd get stuck after cresting a hill or crossing a stream. So one has to ask "Why?"

This one is full of seats & carries well heeled tourists around. It is obviously not designed to go 'off road'--just something different, I suppose. Earl.

I've seen a few in our area used mostly for wine country tours. They are about the same size as what you've shown but with the traditional squared off back rather than the pickup truck look.

Because it's weird for the general consumer public. The groom may want to have a man's hypersteroid limo for his wedding. A pink one like we have in my area is pink for her and hypersteroid for him. It's all marketing to the general public, not meant for off-roading. It could be 2 wheel drive with a 4 cylinder engine and it wouldn't matter - it's just the look.

 thought it was going to be a bird!

We have a lot of stretched limos in the UK, used for weddings and the like.

Usually black or white and they look very sleek. I suppose you could fasten your dog in the back of this to take it along for the ride  :D

When I see the word "Hummer," I always think of a vehicle. Those little guys that fly around are hummingbirds.

I don't see the point of those. We have several limo companies around here with stretched Hummers and SUVs, etc.
