I almost didn't stop here because it was "just" cows and they were very far away. Then the rising sun crested the ridgeline. I felt like I'd won the lottery :)

Canon SX50, shot in raw, edited in PSE 12 and Nik Collection. #3 has some watercolor from Topaz Simplify.

Congratulations, Linda! Your images reveal the soul of a true artist. You envisioned a subject, you searched for it, you were ready with the necessary skills and equipment when it unexpectedly appeared, you appropriately applied your knowledge of composition, captured the mood and tonality of an ephemeral subject before it dissipated, and generously shared your images with us. Thank you, dear.

These are great, Linda! You mentioned they lacked a clear subject, and I'd disagree--your subject here is the light, and you really caught it well!

The cows are a nice addition, a very 'western' feel to these, but still, they're secondary to the light, which is amazing!!!

These are so cool.
Love the mood created by these scenes. Like them all, but #1 is my favorite.
