Compliance ! Canon Power Shot Sx30-IS From about 90 yards - braced on the top of a fence to cut down on shake - This is the image - not cropped. f-stop = f5.8 ISO speed = 500 Shutter speed = 1/400 second. It was on a sunny day, with the subject in shade. This froze a javelin just after release, at 1/400 of a second , and is still quite bright. This was using the "Sport " setting on the Canon- quite useful - if you wanted a little blur, you would have to manually set a slower shutter speed.
No Motion apparent- maybe TOO fast ?
