Amazing you caught it in flight so well. Aren't they a beautiful bird? They are common around Yakima WA and I love seeing them. Where was these photos taken?

Nice shots of this colorful raptor. I had two places I could go to see them almost any time. (Margins of open fields) I have not seen one in a while. They are unfortunately in decline here in SE Pennsylvania. I enjoyed your pictures. Have a great day!

They are a beautiful bird. I took some photos of a tame one a couple of weeks ago. You did a great job of capturing it in the wild! We get to see a lot of kestrels around here, but not American ones.
