Isn't it just wonderful LBJ's "WAR ON POVERTY" 50 years ago HAS PROGRESSED? Isn't the Progressive Party just wonderful?
They can gamble - drink - do drugs - smoke. Waste - waste
- and waste some more. Watch tooooooooo much TV -movies?
Listen to stupid "music"?
Do they buy good books for their kids to read? Learn math - language - science - study - set goals? Go to the library and use computers for learning purposes?
Determine the reasons why they and their "parent(s)" are poor?
Do they ever go to winners instead of the losers?
Play chess or other games that take time to think?
His "War on Drugs" has produced similar benefits...now there are more drugs.
The War on Drugs" is a war on drug users- AKA American citizens.

Wasn't ol' Geritol Ronnie that said "Just say no (to drugs?)"
...another rant from someone who thinks the end is near and who equates the NFL to the US...smh

I can't think of a president since 1964 that has visibly promoted drug use.

Look what happened with Prohibition. Lots of good TV and movies, at least.
Don't try to confuse a liberal with facts. You'll get nowhere!

This is one of the more incoherent posts I've seen on this forum, simply because the criticisms listed have no political affiliation, yet it's clear the OP wishes they did...
We as a nation refuse to understand the statistical fact, that government programs eliminate one important factor, thus guarantying failure. It's called Common Sense.

"The War On Poverty" has actually be quite successful.....at wealth redistribution! It has done very little on eliminating Poverty though. The Government has spent literally Trillions of dollars since the programs inception with very little results. One should remember the definition of madness, ie "doing the same thing over and over expecting to achieve different results" Welfare DOES NOT WORK in its present form. Both Welfare and Extended Unemployment benefits encourages non-work (at least "on the books"). It has become a way of life for at least 40% of the country, and is passed on generation-ally so there can be very little improvement to ever look forward to, given using the same methods which are used now. We have just about reached the tipping point of the ratio of Welfare collectors to Non-Collectors which will guaranty that government policy will not change except to add additional free support measures for the masses that work the system. The only thing that will change this country's drive to the bottom is the non-collectors (Tax-Payers) vociferous demand that their Representatives change the laws that govern the give-aways of our system. Adding a work requirement with a compensating change to our tax laws that would insure that welfare recipients are not penalized monetarily for working would be a big first step.

You notice how the NFL is going DOWN? Read where ads for Super
Bowl are off. Notice how little DEFENSE there is in NFL these days?
They will be switching teams for future Thur & Mon games. People are losing interest in NFL and TV, and most things that were good.
80% teams of today could not be on same field in the 1965-2010.
Defense on the field and at our borders? :( :-o
