I was going to suggest a D3x00. I helped two friends select D3100 a couple of years ago, and both are still very happy with them. One took pictures during her son's wedding and was very happy with the results. She prints a lot of pictures as large as 11x14" to hang in her home, and the D3100 satisfies that.
The D3200 has definite image quality advantages over the T3, partly because of age. I think it is also partly because Nikon has emphasized IQ over other characteristics of the camera in the past few years.
If you can push your budget just a little, you can get the
Nikon D3200 with 18-55mm and 55-200mm Lenses ($550) and you would be set up very well.

That's a good deal. I got my D3200 as a refurb bundle from Cameta at that price back in May (minus the filters), I'm very happy with it. Just because it doesn't cost thousands of dollars does not make it a beginners camera. It has all the tricks I'll ever want. I expect to be using it for years. On the other hand, it is not a professional's camera either.
LOL
Whats going on Jerry??
Ah well, I suppose it could have been worse!
What are you shooting with now, Thummarwitsh?

If you don't mind moving down a notch. New Canon Rebel T3s are available for $300.00 at Radio Shack. That leaves another $200.00 for accessories. I have switched from a Canon SX50HS bridge camera to that model with a Tamron 18-270 zoom and couldnt be happier
Here is a picture I took yesterday of a passing muscle boat. Not a bad capture of a vessel moving about 50 MPH
Sony A58. it is on sale for $448.
We started into digital photography with a D70 with a 18-70 and a 70-200 lens. Our first trip was an Alaska cruise. Some of those pictures are still on the wall. At the time that set up was considered professional quality. Today you can buy the same trio for about $300 used on craigs list and through some brick and motor stores from time to time. I just picked up a D100 for a bargain price. It took my wife three years to upgrade to the D200. The interesting thing is that our son is still shooting the same equipment as we started with and has done two weddings with that same equipment and is now asked to do another wedding. Just remember, like a car, condition = condition = condition. Most of photography is skill not the latest and greatest new toy. By the way we still shoot all of the dslrs we have bought with the exception of a Fuji s3, which was stolen. Sure we have upgraded to the D700 and D800, but I on occasion still exercise our old friends. If I had to, I would still use my old friends to shot a wedding, if I had to.

What DSLR camera should I buy. The budget is $500
You could/should look at the Sony A3000 - $319 at Walmart - add the excellent Sigma 19,30, and 60mm f2.8's for $200 each - if you get serious. Sony is the future.
First of all I don't know prices in Thailand. You need to go to a camera store that carries Canon, Nikon, sony, Olympus etc and hold each camera and see which feels comfortable. Find someone that you can speak to. All these camera will produce a good photographs. What will you be shooting? How heavy a camera do you want to carry lots of questions to ask yourself before buying a camera.

Looks like a duck, quacks like one, but is not a duck. That camera is a mirrorless styled to look like a DSLR. I picked up one as a floor sample during a G.A.S. attack for $150. Takes great shots, but slow as molasses to focus. IMHO, the best value in new entry dslr is either the Canon Rebet T3, available at Radio Shack for $299.00 or the Pentax K500 at BH photo for $399
Thx u for your advise. It sound good for the budget.
I will remember that condition=condition=condition
