I won, I won

.If I posted in the wrong section please move it. Thank you.

I have been very happy with an SX 40 but always wanted to get an SX50. What held me back was not the money but the sure knowledge that Canon would come out with an upgrade soon after I spend the money for the SX50. I waited and waited and waited but had my moments. Often I sneak around the camera shops and look at the SX 50 but did not want to hold it and cuddle it and make love to it. That would have meant defeat for me and triumph for Canon marketing.

Now, that I have won the purchasing battle it sure is time to get that sx60. Has anyone seen them yet?
If you have an SX60 please tell and don't hold back, let it all come out. Make it a 20+pager.
I will have to wait to return to the USA or till they have them in Thailand. What will come first?

#1. The Thailand bird book calls it a Greater Coucal. I call it a Thai beauty.
It said, "darn it is cold (28 degrees C) and so wet".

#2. Drying after the rain.

#3. This is soooo much better, dry and warm again.

#4. The SX40 can catch birds and the moon. Now with such a stretch, do I need an SX60?

Pictures taken with an SX40. Can an SX60 do MUCH better?

Greater Coucal. Cold and wet.

Yeh, the wait is on. Late October in the US could be quicker in SEA.

After reading your subject title I thought you had died with the most toys! Glad to see that's not the case! (That means there is still hope for the rest of us to claim the win!):)
BTW, have you heard the rumors about the SX70?:) :)

SX70? :) :)
You are vicious but in a nice way.
Serious though, really, an sx70?????? did you hear something?
Whispers turn into rumors and rumors turn into wants and wants turn into marketing opportunities and ...and ....then we will die and the toys will soon be outdated again. Somebody must warn the next generation about this.

In my little jungle that is bone chilling cold. Add some monsoon rain and the birds shiver.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an SX80 on the schedule.

Jack, why don't you get the new Canon 7Dmkll?
Take the lens off of your sx40 and attach it to the 7ll.
That would be a killer combo! A 7Dmkllsx !!

Warn the next generation? And spoil all the fun? Are you serious? I figure when I can no longer pick up a camera that I will be able to amuse myself by reading about that next generation's GAS problems here on the Hog!
Don't worry about the SX70. I'm sure Canon will allow you a couple of months to enjoy your SX60 before they they make the announcement!

I don't have either but looking at the specs, the
SX60 has a 16MP, 21-1365 range and a new CMOS PROCESSOR? You decide!

Now, that I have won the purchasing battle it sure is time to get that sx60. Has anyone seen them yet?
