It was a difficult exposure for me, because the sun was behind the subject and I forget to use the flash. Please, let me have your honest opinion.

You do what you gotta do at the spur of the moment.
The photo shows the men in their natural position.
By the time you had your equipment connected and set
up properly those men would have been focused on you,
not their natural look, even if it took a minute to
set up.
I'd say it's an excellent photo.

Well, it's a sculpture, not a portrait, so I think the basis is there for a terrific photo. A little post-processing to dodge and burn a bit is all that it would take.

Fooled me. Guess I didn't pay that much attention to detail
since it looked so real at first glance.
I still think it's a good picture and great sculpture.

Good pictures, is it a statue recreation of the men who sat having lunch on the scaffolding high up?

That's great! Where is that? The third guy from the right is Joe Curtis, but probably not a relative. Two of the men came from the same little village in Ireland. One died here, and the other returned home.
