I took this shot in poor light and the background was blurred out but I didn't realise this until I transferred it to my computer. I converted it to B & W and I think it looks better but is there something else I could have done to improve the original shot?

If you do a new topic, with "store original," to the post-processing forum, you could ask members to post creative ways of changing the image.
