Actually, it's not an illusion...
That didn't look like no illusion. Just too weird. Thanks for giving me nightmares :)

Personally I don't find it entreating at all. Intriguing maybe but not entreating.
Excuse me, I have to go change my underwear.
Of course it's an illusion. It's Cris Angel...
Just a coincidence... the benches are painted green?
Keep in mind that there's no reason to believe the crowd isn't made up of actors, or that this was shot continuously.
Once you start thinking of it as a movie and not a documentary, it becomes fairly ordinary movie special effects.
While the two people are cut in half, we never get a good look at either's face -- the man is wearing sunglasses and the woman always has her hair blocking her face. It would be easy to substitute amputees for them and then cut that out of the finished video.
Similarly, although we "see" the man being joined with the woman's legs, if you look closely, that actually happens while the bodies are completely blocked by Angel's back, so it could be two separate shots edited together.

Everyone makes a valid point, but the fact still remains, that this is one great illusion and if you think of it as such, you marvel at how the illusion was done.

Yes, I agree, and you want to know how, but deep down, you're glad they keep it to themselves, preserves the mystery!
