Hi ebrunner, if you make your flames etc. on a layer and have deleted the background layer (looks very faint with the chequered board) save as a png for Photoshop and then it opens so you have a floating layer with you flames etc on it and it can then be moved to your picture. It will need resizing as it comes up a bit small.
