The composition, subject and colors are perfect for your treatment. Love it!

I like this very much. I'm thinking of buying this program - this may have pushed me closer.

Thank you very much Coolcameragirl for comment and thumbup. I downloaded the trial last night but it would not work, just had red in all the work spaces. On looking in the user manual this was because the graphics card had to be updated, this I did this morning and now it works fine. Got 30 days trial but I think I will be buying it.....

I love it, Val! You couldn't have picked a better image for this effect. Did you use one of the presets? Watercolor? If I didn't already have the program, this one would sell it for me.

Thanks Donna so glad you like it. I did use a preset it was not watercolour but think it was Van Gogh 2 and then I tweaked a lot with the brushes and the sliders till I thought it looked ok. It was your great rose that started it off and I found you can get rid of the white spots with moving one of the sliders but can't remember which one. Will go back in and find it and let you know... :D

Please do let me know, Val. I don't think the 'spatters' were too popular, and I thought I was stuck with them. :-D Do you have Topaz Detail? I found that the detail sliders work well to emphasize the texture as a finishing touch, but that could probably be done within the program as well.

Hi Donna had a quick look and I think it is the Spill slider, if it is to the right there are more marks and less or none when it is to the left. Hope it works on your rose, look forwards to seeing it again if it does. I do not have topaz detail yet but hope to have it soon.

Wow! This was a beautiful shot to start with, but this is really stunning, Val. This looks exactly like it's supposed to look.. a painting. Thanks for the info on the spill slider. I'll check it out and hopefully wipe up all my spills. :-D Val, I haven't tried it out with this program, but Topaz Clarity would probably do the same to bring out details as Topaz Detail.

Thank you very much Donna, it was taken at Perranporth a beach local to me. Although this picture was in focus it would not have mattered if it was slightly out. I will have to think about getting more Topaz programs..

I really like the painterly quality of this photo. Seems like you can get some pretty sophisticated effects from this program.

Thank you ebrunner, I like the program very much. I was thinking of getting the trial and them saw what Dixiegirl had done with a rose, I have the trial at the moment but think I will buy as there is a lot you can do with it...
