I would love to be able to say that I caught this guy out in the desert... but that would be untrue. The best thing about these photos are that I used an old 6 mega pixel camera, the first Canon DSLR, and an old $35 manual lens to shoot them with.

Thanks Eurobird and ebbote... I have a lot of images from that trip, Apache Trail, Canyon Valley ect... but for most the time of day was not optimum so the lighting in many was much less than ideal.. I will post some later in the week.

OMG I LOVE Prairie dogs! They are the cutest things on the earth. The only thing cuter is a baby one. :-D Great shots. Cheers.

Really nice. Just proves you don't have to have an expensive setup to take good shots.

Thanks for all the positive comments... They were cute, I tried to keep fences and stuff out of the shots that would show that they were in a zoo, there were about 10 or so of these guys in an enclosure, of course these are the best shots I was able to get as he was towards the front and relatively content not to move.
