Thanks so much, Ron! Glad you liked them.
Thanks so much, merrytexan! That little boy was too cute to resist, as was the birthday girl! And the Elmo cupcakes..
I didn't have one, so can't tell you how good they were! :)
looks like everyone having a fine old time.
I know we had a great time, Paul, and I suspect everyone did, especially the birthday girl! :)

The 8-year-old little boy who lives at that farm came running out to tell me he was "a good picture-taker" and he volunteered to go into the barn to get the white horse and some chickens. I gave my camera to him and let him go! The first 2 shots are his. And I just had to put a couple in of the birthday girl! :)
There is a very fine Taiwanese movie "Yi Yi" (I think the English title is A One and a Two) in which one of the plot threads involves an 8 year-old taking photos. Superb movie.
all 3 of my granddaughters are so used to me taking their pictures, they know how to pose. my 2 oldest, have point and shoot cameras and the oldest takes pictures on a regular basis. I think it is important to encourage use of a regular camera, not a cell phone. my fear, that people are taking pictures on their phones, will never print a picture and will not have photos down the road. I was just looking at old photos from the 20's and 30's. no names or dates. sad not to know who these people are. deb

As for the first two, one is never too young to take good pictures. The other two are just adorable, what a cute girl.
Gotta start them early Sue. It takes a whole village!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at you Sue, giving encouragement and a life lesson of kindness to a little guy! You tell him I liked his shots very much! Now onto the birthday girl, how adorable!!!
Thank you, frjack! I'll have to look that movie up!
Interesting grandmadeb! I agree that it's important to encourage our kids to use cameras. We went through a similar situation when Al's mom passed away...a box full of photos with no names or dates! No one knows who the people in these pictures are!
