I wondered if anyone has ordered Canon's new camera sight unseen. Thanks.

The articles I've read have been positive, so I'm sure buying one ahead of time won't be a disappointment to anyone. I'm sticking with Nikon, though.
I have always found Canon upgrades to be positive. I traded in my 7D for a pre-order of the 7D Mark II. If not satisfied I have 30 days to return it. I have read positive reviews and a few that were less than enthusiastic. That is alway the case with reviews.

Yes, I put down a deposit here in SF at the local Samy's camera store on one.
Chris
I would like to but I want to see some serious reviews, regarding its low light capability and noise.

I have not, but for the general question of doing it, I did preorder the D800 the day it was announced, a couple of months before it started shipping. I'm glad I did, since I then had it for my cousins' weddings that summer, and I probably would not have if I had waited until it had been in stores.

I took the leap and just traded in my 7D for the Mark II. Henrys was giving such a good deal on the trade in value I knew it would be a long while before they would offer it again.

I thought the Mk II isn't available until November.
Are you saying you have sold your 7D and are now waiting until the Mk II becomes available in a couple of months time?

I don't get it.
You gave them your current 7D in trade now for a camera that will be available in two months?

Yes, but I do have another camera to use while I am waiting.

In order for me to get the credit towards the purchase I had to trade in mine now. But no worries I do have another camera that I can use while I wait.
I have pre-ordered my 7D Mark II along with the 24-70 F4 - Canon Canada are offering a price that saves you $920 on the lens. Tough to turn that away.
Also, my current 7D that is rated for 150,000 shots is currently sitting at 191,000 and climbing. Hasn't given me a lick of trouble and will stay in the bag as my backup.

Oh ok, I gotcha. If it was a very good deal and you have another camera to use then it makes sense.

And if those "serious" reviews are not to your standard, then what, you will get a Rebel??!!
