NOT a landscape... actually a wildlife shot.....

While this may look like a landscape, if you look closely at the top of the rock pile on the left, you will see Alvin, the Chipmunk (actually corrected to ground squirrel) surveying his domain from his rock throne.

It does look like Alvin is enjoying the view. Nice shot.

I like the picture but that does not look like a ground squirrel to me. The neck is to long. I cannot tell the size from this perspective but what would you say it is? It looks to be 18 inches from head to ground.
It looks to me to be some kind of weasel.

We always called them "rock chucks".

Nice shot, I think your first naming was right, as it looks to me to be in fact a chipmunk with the typical striping (that ground squirrels do not have).
