Don't discount the screw in option for a sling strap. Once you use a sling strap, you won't want to use anything else, I promise! I use a Joby sling with the Joby plate that attaches to the tripod threaded hole. The plate has multiple threaded holes and since I use a tripod routinely, I keep both the strap and the tripod plate screwed in all the time. Saves so much time and is totally robust and secure!

I'm very interested in this solution. Does the following link to Adorama's product listing accurately reflect the item you refer to?

Thanks.

I love my PeakDesign leash strap. Super lightweight and multi-configurable. Their new strap (to be released October/November looks great too).

I use the optech pro strap when working for a few hours and the double sling when hiking or on shoots when I am going to be several hours or I need to carry an extra camera or an additional lens. The pro strap is comfortable, it will stretch a bit to absorb the weight. The double sling puts the weight on your shoulders not your neck and allows you to carry two cameras or you can attach a lens pouch on one side. You can buy either for less than $ 40.00 plus tax.

Looking for suggestions on new camera strap. I would like to upgrade from the strap(s) that came with my Canon Camera to something more comfortable (and with less advertising). Prefer that it attaches in the same way as the current one does rather than screwing into the tripod mount. I would also prefer not to spend over $100.00 if possible.

Appreciate everyone's thoughts and suggestions!

Upstrap!!! I wouldn't use anything else. This company has great, and I mean great, customer service. They are located in the U.S. and purchases are directly from them. 98% of the product is American made.

Agree, peakdesignltd.com the unique feature of this strap is how it attaches to the camera. In fact you can get extra connectors and use one strap for all your needs. Easy connect and disconnect . Note is is longer and more adjustable the the optech.

Another vote for the OPTECH. Why CANON insist on giving us a neckstrap that I personally found to be the most uncomfortable thing it's possible to hang a camera of I'll never know? Got mine in MOAB and the dealer was kind enough to bin the CANON strap for me.
Also the OPTECH doesn't advertise that I'm carrying a 60D to any potential thief!

Take a look into the Canon CPS strap, its made by OpTech and is nothing more than the OpTech strap with the CPS logo printed on it.....Oh, at double the OpTech's regular price too. ;-)

I use this sling strap .. Love it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJaak0ZrnT4 It attaches to the camera at the strap connection point that was designed to hold the camera .

I have an OpTech on my Nikon and used it recently on a two week trip to Italy. I carried it every day without problems. It has a cushioned and wider shoulder area and it is much more comfortable then the original one from Nikon.

I don't do straps (for camera carry )- don't like things flying around ! - use a belt mounted holster for carry. I do use straps as a tether for the camera once it gets on a tripod or monopod.

Oops. I just bought a grip strap to attaches to the tripod socket and to a shoulder lug (The regular place.) Your pix are giving me cause to reconsider.

I use a web strap from a old laptop case. I wear it over my right shoulder and across my chest so the camera hangs at my left hand so bringing it up to eye level is extremely fast and easy. It has very sturdy and solid release clips that attach to the camera lugs so it doesn't interfere with the tripod mount. I liked it so well I found several more at garage sales that I use for my other bodies and the most expensive one only cost $1.50.
