Found a spider web on my P&S travel light camera. Did not use for two months now and will likely will not use it for another month (that thing stays on the passenger front seat when I drive long distance).

Is there such a thing as having too many cameras?

I feel I have the right amount! I can use a different camera every day for a year without repeating and then some!

P&S are temporary cameras, as far as I'm concerned. I'll use one for years till I find another that is significantly better. Then the old ones get donated.

As for DSLRs, when they start to accumulate spider webs, they go on ebay. I have a D40 I converted to IR (along with a D70), and a D3100 I use for rough. That's in addition to my D7100 and D610, which I use for good stuff.

Having too many cameras is just a waste of money and space. Of course, if they're collectibles, that's a different story.

I think that would be when you have them all attached to your body and go to stand up but can't get off your rear end because of the weight....Rich

When your wife says

"If you like those cameras so much, you can go sleep with them!!!!"

And that sounds good to you.

How about when you feel compelled to ask on UHH - " I want to shoot - insert photo scene here- should I use THIS camera or THAT camera or do I need to run out and buy another better/different camera?" Along the lines of the never ending series of 'which lens' questions posted here.
