Oh my goodness, Sherry! You forget I saw your swamp shots, and they were beautiful. I'm glad you like these and hope they'll entice you back. Don't blame you for waiting a while though. Way too hot and humid for swamps and most anything else right now.

All beautiful, Donna. They are all so lovely, I'm not able to pick a favorite. You have certainly set the bar high for me! But, I'll be happy if I'm able to stand on a ladder, on my tippy-toes and barely brush that bar with my fingertips! Still too hot and humid for me to give it another go, though.

Keep 'em comin'!

Well thanks so much, Randy! That's such a beautiful area it's almost impossible to take a bad shot there. I never even made the connection when I added the skeeter caption to that shot. I wish I had been as observant and quick as Angela and Linda. LOL

Gorgeous shots, Donna. Hard to pick a favorite from among so many beautiful photos. I loved the mosquito comment, as we see the aerial squadrons beginning their attack in the upper left of that shot, lol. Inspired, and best laugh I've had for some time, even if unintentional.

I think my favorite of the group is the first image, which seems so real you could walk or swim right into it. Beautifully done. The last is equally luscious, especially with the wonderful color--a real wall hanger--but I'm drawn to the water and framing in that first one.

Impressive work, and I'd be proud to have taken any of these!

LOL No, those were cormorants. Believe me the skeeters were all down on our level enjoying their meal. :-D Thanks so much, Angela.

When I lived in Biloxi, I heard two skeeters talking one night: "Shall we eat him here or take him back to the swamp?"
"Naw, we better eat him here. If we take him back to the swamp, the big ones will take him away from
us!!!"
