Lumix FZ100 Question

This is a problem with my FZ100. When shooting in IAuto, the camera usually but not always takes two pics of the subject. The second is slightly different from the first, as if I were shooting in burst mode, but with a burst of only 2. Can't figure out from the next to useless manual how to fix....Any ideas?
Now that I have your attention, a general comment about the camera. It takes great shots as long as I don't press the wrong button, a distressingly easy thing to do with this camera's plethora of sneakily placed buttons conveniently positioned to trap the unwary.

Have you got bracketing set in your camera menu?

Check Multi-Film Bracket, page 120 of your manual.

Thanx for your suggestion. ....I was blitzed with fatigue when I sent out the question. The camera is a FZ200, not FZ100. Mea culpa.

So, I found bracketing in the FZ200 manual, but it says that bracketing doesn't apply in the IAuto mode. Any other sugguestions?

On the top of camera, next to Shutter and right of Movie Record Button, there is a Button, which shows symbol of 3 frames. This is the Auto Bracket Button.
Press and it shows how many bracketing you want. Turn to OFF.
Enjoy you camera. It is the best (my Opinion) DO IT ALL Camera, without having to buy all kind of lenses and accessories. I have the Leica V-Lux 4, which is the same camera as the Panasonic Lumix FZ200. BV

Good! Tried it and it worked.....but that's illustrative of the button problem with the camera....no idea how it got set to burst 2 pics, nor why the double didn't always happen, just most of the time..

And I do like the camera, it's just that sometimes I long for the simplicity of the old Nikon F or Ftn...

Thanx again

Try Graham Houghton's youtube series of short videos on the FZ200. He is very helpful. You can even write to him and he will reply. Also, he has published his own FREE manual that you can down load from his blog or website. It's terrific, far better than Panasonic's manual. You can then have a print shop spiral bind it for you. You can also purchase the manual on Amazon for about $35. Either way you go, the manual is well worth the cost. I love the camera also especially the constant 2.8 aperture b/c I shoot at rock concerts for my own pleasure and memories and have some outstanding images. Hope this helps.

thanx for your reply too...a previous answerer solved my problem- somehow I'd unintentionally signalled to the camera to do "burstX2"; I've intentionally unburstX2, and now I only get one pic per press

I agree with you that the FZ200 is an exceptionally good camera - terrrific pictures as long as I don't hit a wrong button, which, on this camera, is oso easy to do. Too many buttons nicely placed to trap the unwary. I've had to learn to hold the camera differently - need to put my right thumb more to the right; need to put my left lens holding hand more forward; failing to do either inevitably results in a gratuitous button push-

Thanx again for your answer
