First day out with my new lens...Sony 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3.
Shot out the window of a moving, bumpy cog railway car :)

Great Shots....Only been to Pikes Peak one time...New years day, 1967....25 below zero....20 mile an hour winds. My transportation....A motorcycle I had just raced up the mountain.....Never been so cold in my entire life.

:D :D Yep, that sounds about right...it was a mild 31 degrees at the top and the wind was blowing hard enough to make holding the camera steady interesting. And here were all these people running around in shorts! The shop at the top does a great business on sweatshirts!

I've been to the top several times having lived in Springs for about 25 years, but this is the first time I've taken the cog railway.

Once you get the hang of that new lens, I expect you'll get published in National Geographics !!!!!

Great shots!

Nice images considering you shot out of the Cog Railway . We just drove our Class B Motorhome to the top about a month ago. First time up for us and it was worth it! I've watched them Race up there forever on videos, news etc but now I can say I really know what they encounter.
