Truly awesome Mike!!! Right when I think I don't like B/W. You show these beautiful shots. They are so great you don't even think about color!

Thank you very much Erv. Not many people like B&W. I think it's a different generation. I was in the hospital for 3 days, had a heart attack so if you don't see anymore of my postings you know where I am.

And it wasn't necessary to carry a 4x5 camera and heavy tripod around boulder fields.

Back in the early 80's I would carry my Nikon FM and FE's and several lenses in my backpack around the Colorado Rockies. I had to decide between food or camera gear. I cut back on the food. Dandelion leaves make a tasty salad with a little salt and pepper and some salad dressing that I carried in old film containers. I had two sets of tops. One solid and one pierced to make a shaker. Needless to say, I didn't have to worry about gaining weight. I would sometimes spend five days straight on the trails in RMNP. You don't see a lot of folks after a mile or two in.

I lived in Colo for 60 years, was one of the Boulder climbers, did lots of rock in the Park, did Stettner's Ledges on Longs Peak and all but 19 of the 14ers.
Nice pic of you and the Park!!

I had intended to climb Long's Peak but ran out of time there. A little thing like a job ruined my fun.    Here's a shot of Long's Peak with a cloud cover over the peak. I need to rescan it. A bit dusty.

Thanks for the pic, a seldom seen view from the 'back side'. Yes, work is the curse of the drinking class!

From where I worked in Denver while going to school I could see Long's Peak to the North and Mt. Evans to the West. The Long's Peak shot was from Trail Ridge Road I believe. I would usually go up through Estes Park and come out near Grand Lake I believe. It's been many years. I've been out to Colorado a few times on ski trips and enjoy every minute of it.
