This one is mine ....

I SEE the Music with my EARS..........

I HEAR The Light with my EYES.

==================================

I said this some time ago to a musician friend of mine - In order that he could understand what the hell I was doing.

Then I quoted Ansel Adams (as he was a musician - pianist) - ...

"The Negative is the Score............

The Print is the Performance."

So much easier to learn now with digital as compared to film. Back then I only took one or two shots of the same scene. Now as many as I want and I can see them instantly.With film I had to wait a week or more and it cost a lot more .

People who "compile" information should at least credit the source:

http://www.acdsee.com/en/community/blog/post/56433315867/25-inspirational-quotes-from-famous-photographers

And while you're at it, you might mention:

http://petapixel.com/2014/03/11/50-photography-quotes-inspire/

It't an easy step to forget. I have frequently forgotten to do so myself.
