These are camera model specific glove-like protection skins. Does anyone use this? Looks like a useful accessory, but looks can be deceiving. Wonder if the cover will allow access to all buttons and knobs?

Opinions and comments welcome :)

I saw an ad for those the other day also and they look intriguing if they would offer any protection without getting in the way.

I'd be very interested myself ... would love to hear the feed back on them.

They seem pretty cheap--30.00 bucks!

I have all my camera bodies (Nikon D700, Nikon D7000, Nikon D800, and Nikon D4S) covered before I started to use. It is never to be in the same level of easiness if you have the skin on but not that difficult to access the buttons. The best is that you do have good protection of camera body for any possible scratches and you do not need to worry much if you put your camera in the bag with other stuff (not too sharp or hard). When you want to sell your camera body, take off the skin and just do a minor clean, the body seems "brand new". In addition, I also use screen protectors for the cameras. Make sure you cover all screens if you prefer. For example, for Nikon D800, you have two and for Nikon D4S, you have three, not just the big one. You can also read reviews on the skin via the web that sell the skins. Thanks!

I use an inexpensive one called "Body Armor" on one of my Canon Rebel 350d when I am expecting to be in rough conditions - out in my 4X4 in the woods. It works well and is easy to install & take off as needed. I also use a soft rubber lens shade that protects the lens quite well.
Along with the Op/Tec elastic strap, single camera harness that keeps my camera snug to my lower chest I find my camera very well protected.

I installed a similar cover on my XTi when I bought it. No problems, whatsoever. Love how 'grippy' it make the camera.

I have had a camera armor on my 5d mark 2 for years. i really like it. Had to cut away a few sections to fit my needs. i.e. the section over the remote cable socket.

I've got one coming so will let you know.

I ordered it for two reasons:
1. Some of the paint has rubbed off my D800 base from sitting on the car seat next to me and rubbing on the seat belt.
2. On an upcoming trip to Europe I don't want to advertise my camera's name where I can avoid it. (They'll still be able to identify the lenses).

A friend used body armor on his last Nikon and found an adjustment was needed when using some of his controls, however, the body after several years still looks pristine.

Ut Oh. The remote cable connection is the thing I dislike most on my D800. Something to make it worse is worrisome.

I'll see how it goes.

One other point was that I talked to one of the maker (LoPro) and they quit making the product because of all the changes and new models of various cameras.
It is really tough to keep up with it all and if they don's sell what do you do with them?

It came. I'm satisfied enough with it to give it a fair try. It definitely would have prevented the paint wear I currently have on the bottom of the camera. I can operate all the buttons OK. I need to try it yet with my remote cable and tripod.

The two LCD covers they provide with it are OK but I'm not going to use them unless my present one breaks, which isn't likely. Theirs are plastic and the one I use is glass so not subject to scratching.

It didn't completely do what I hoped for on covering up the Nikon name. It doesn't cover the Nikon name at all. It does cover the model number and I can put a piece of electrical tape over the Nikon that will mask it and blend in.

It provides a flexible covering for some of the buttons which might make finding them problematic. The covers are impressed with the symbols but they aren't painted so difficult to see. The buttons I use most aren't covered though so I expect it will be OK in that regard. Maybe it will help me learn them better.

No worries with tripod mount or remote connection. Both work as usual.
