What is the difference between the Mini and Flex? THey looke like there smaller then the PW I, II, and the new III. So is it just preference?

Mini is a transmitter only, Flex is a transceiver. In other words, the flex can both send and receive signals. The size of the mini makes it a little less obtrusive on the hot shoe of your camera, but really, the flex is more versatile and you don't need minis at all.

And if you want the Pocket Wizard to get started, I have a spare transmitter that goes on your camera hot shoe which fires off any remote transceivers attached to your flash(es) you may purchase, that I will let go for $95 plus postage. Let me know if this is of interest to you. It will work with any Pocket Wizard system you decide to go with. However you won't be able to remotely change flash setting etc. like the expensive new system they have introduced, from the camera.
